WELCOME LETTER FROM LILANA SIMONE

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA INTERN

Dear Parents, Faculty, and Staff,

Hello, my name is Liliana Simone and I am interning at Woodlawn this semester. As a requirement for my teaching degree, through the University of South Florida, I will be doing my final internship at Woodlawn Elementary. For the next two months, I will be assisting and instructing students in Mrs. Doege’s fifth grade class.

I am a senior at the University of South Florida working on a bachelor’s degree in Education with certification in Elementary Education K-6 and ESE K-12 and endorsements in Reading and ESOL. I have spent many hours observing, volunteering and completing internships in the Pinellas County school system. I am excited to be doing my final internship at Woodlawn Elementary School as I have been placed in an amazing and diverse classroom. I am looking forward to getting to know and working with the amazing faculty and staff, as well as the students at Woodlawn. I believe this internship will be a wonderful and educational experience for everyone.

Thank you for welcoming me with open arms and showing me what school unity and pride looks like. I truly appreciate the experience and knowledge that I am gaining and will gain at the end of this journey.

Best,

Liliana Simone-USF Intern

WELCOME LETTER FROM RACHEL RESSLER

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA INTERN

Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Rachel Ressler and I am the new intern that is in your student's classroom. I am looking forward to teaching your child. I will be working with Ms. Doege until May 2, 2014.

I will be graduating with my Bachelors of Science degree in Education. I will also be certified as an Exceptional Student Education teacher, Reading teacher and also an English Language Learners teacher. It has been a long road and I am excited to be closing this chapter of my life and moving on to becoming a full time teacher. I have learned a lot along the way and look forward to implementing my new ideas in the classroom under the direct supervision of Mrs. Doege.

This week I will be introducing a Social Studies lesson that students will do with you at home. I will include more detailed instructions and the assignment will be for a participation grade, so it will be a great way to help boost up your students grade, while you have fun together completing the weekly task.

I look forward to getting to know all of the students and staff at Woodlawn elementary school. I am happy to be here and I feel very welcome. Thank you all for this opportunity.

Sincerely,

Miss Ressler
